EXPLORING THE BIRDS

So good to be back again ! Here are we in the second week of my water bird tours . There are many birds visiting this area recently with one more new addition in the form of the western yellow wagtail which I spotted for the first time here. This time the birds I will be talking about are : 1. I ndian Pond Heron The  Indian pond heron  or  paddybird   is a small  heron . It is of  Old World  origins, breeding in southern  Iran  and east to the  Indian subcontinent ,  Burma , and  Sri Lanka . They are widespread and common but can be easily missed when they stalk prey at the edge of small water-bodies or even when they roost close to human habitations. Hey There !!!  As I have mentioned earlier, there is a stream flowing near my residential area and believe it or not, it's an actual birder's paradise ! There are lots of birds which come to this stream in search of food, water and other needs like their homes. This lists includes grassland birds, water birds, scavengers and other types of aves species.  This week, I have done some reasearch on a few frequent water birds which I spotted in the last few days and am ecsatatic to share it with you all ... 1.
